A social care charity in London has been fined £70,000 by the Information Commissioner following the loss of highly sensitive data about the care of four young children.
A social worker, working for Norwood Ravenswood Ltd, left the detailed reports at the side of the house on 5 December 2011 after attempting to deliver the items to the children's prospective adoptive parents. At the time neither occupant was at the house, but when they returned to the property the reports were gone. The information has never been recovered.

Microsoft Office 2013 |
Microsoft have recently launched the latest version of the Office suite, which comes with some new pricing packages that are confusing customers. Office 2013 introduces new subscription options under the "Office 365" banner, where customers pay an annual fee to use the software instead of a simple up-front purchase.
The Office 365 licences come with various extra features, including online storage and access to your applications in the cloud. It also allows you to install the software on multiple PCs, so you can havie it on your laptop, PC, tablet, etc. The initial cost for Office 365 is lower, but because it is subscription pricing you need to pay every year. If you plan to have the software for several years, this will have a big impact on the overall cost.
