Law Society Guidance

The Law Society recommends you audit your use of personal data, to help you understand how you manage it.   Whilst not a requirement of the Data Protection Act, the Law Society also recommends that you have a written Data Protection Policy.

The Law Society's email guidelines also recommend that firms adopt systems that provide the facility for retrieving (and automatically decrypting) encrypted incoming mail; and automatically encrypt all outgoing email to those offering similar facilities.
